We’re excited to kick off the New Year at Corso Systems by releasing our Industry Power Packs!

The goal of these Power Packs is to give you a solid technology foundation. The power packs are made from the most popular implements we do for various industries. Instead of struggling with development deadlines, our approach lets you start optimizing your operations!

Each Power Pack is built with the Ignition SCADA platform. This gets your business up to speed quickly with our well tested templates, data structures, and code. Plus, everything can be modified and customized to meet your specific needs.

Are you already considering (or have) an Ignition project with Corso Systems? We can often include a Power Pack within the scope of your project for no additional cost. Commonalities Across Corso Systems’ Power Packs

Each Power Pack has unique, industry-specific features and aims to help you improve your operations. But, they also have a few things in common across industries.

First, our Power Packs address how you’re monitoring and tracking data about your processes, equipment, utilities, or other information to better understand your business. We leverage Ignition’s unlimited approach to provide you with historical data collection for all of your relevant information.

Since many companies prefer to avoid fully custom solutions for every project in favor of out-of-the-box solutions, we’ve built flexible User Defined Datatypes (UDTs) and templates for the most common process equipment including valves, pumps, motors, instrumentation, etc. We can easily modify them as needed for your system, but they are already prepared for the most common use cases we have encountered over the years.

While tracking data is important, its also critical to be able to transform it into information for improving any of your processes. To this end, our Power Packs include powerful dashboard components with drag and drop capability so you can create your own dashboards on the fly along with detailed reports built using the Ignition Reporting module.

This approach provides access to all of your data, the ability to distill complex information into easy to use dashboards and reports, and amplifies your ability to share information and communicate across your entire organization.

Each Power Pack’s Killer Features

Along with the features mentioned above, each Power Pack has industry-specific killer features. Of course some of these features can apply to many industries—and we’ll share those details later in this post as well.

Heat Treatment Power Pack

Work Orders, Recipe Management, and Variance Tracking are critical components of any heat treatment process. With heat treated parts destined for use in oil and gas pipelines all the way up to the outer reaches of space, it’s critical to know what happened to each part during processing. You’re in luck! While our Power Packs focus on specific industries, they’re all built with a common platform: Ignition.

If you want a feature from another industry’s Power Pack, just ask! We can mix and match any features from any industry Power Pack to build the perfect solution for your needs! One of the biggest reasons we built the Power Packs was to get you up and running quickly at a lower cost than a fully custom solution—along with a goal of expanding the scope of the system as your comfort level with the technology grows.

Mixing and adding features from the Power Packs is a very common occurrence as companies become more familiar with the tools and realize even more possibilities. For example, many manufacturing companies will grow to take advantage of the energy and utility monitoring tools emphasized in the Data Center Power Pack. But since other industries aren’t starting with energy costs as a primary driver of their projects, we focused on other features in the other Power Packs. But, we can always integrate features across the Power Packs so that your solution grows with your business.
