The Ignition Enterprise Administration Module is Special

The Enterprise Administration Module (EAM) is different than most of the modules that we've discussed. It's specifically for Enterprise solutions and allows you to manage multiple Agent Gateways from a single controller gateway. With this module you can have one main Controller gateway on one central server, and multiple Agent Gateways easily connected. Agent Gateways can be either other full blown Ignition Servers or Edge Gateways.

The Two Main Use Cases for the Ignition Enterprise Administration Module:

  1. Multiple, dispersed locations each running their own Ignition Gateways.

  2. Backing up critical machines or cells within a specific location.

Use EAM to Simplify Tasks Over Many Gateways

EAM allows you to manage multiple agent gateways from a single controller gateway. This will allow you to push or schedule activations or updates, synchronize projects and resources, as well as automate gateway backups and recovery. Plus you can communicate over a secure network and monitor agent gateway health and performance. All of which is really useful if you run multiple gateways within your facility. Once you begin using it, you'll question what you did without EAM!

Baked Into Edge Enterprise

One of the really amazing parts of Edge Enterprise is that EAM is baked into it. What does that mean? For the cost of adding Edge Enterprise, you get easy and secure management, monitoring, and gateway backup from your main gateway. As soon as we realized this at Corso Systems, we quickly started taking advantage of EAM at every site that had multiple gateways.
